There are all sorts of kinds out there - with standard Monster Bones ranging from S to L and + sizes, through to a Pale Bone, Massive Bone, Sturdy Bone and an Eroded Skeleton. Though all of these are found from bone piles and hunts, the exact locations of which are not always clear - which is where this list of Monster Hunter Rise bone locations comes in. Bones are just one of many items you’ll obtain during quests in Monster Hunter Rise, which can then be used to craft and upgrade armour and weapons for you and your companions. These can be gathered from Bone Piles and as rewards from specific hunts. Bone Piles are fairly common to find across the maps, signalled by a monster skeleton icon. Once you approach one you’ll see the carcass of a monster glowing. You only need to approach it and press the button prompt. Note that you can gather Ore while riding your Palamute. Despite being part of the same ‘family’, these all come from different sources:

Monster Bone S location: Bones Piles, but also obtained as reward from hunting Great Izuchi in Low Rank Monster Bone M location: Obtained as reward from hunting Barroth, Great Baggi, Khezu, Great Wroggi and Kulu-Ya-Ku in Low Rank Monster Bone L location: Obtained as reward from hunting Somnacanth and Rathian in Low Rank Monster Bone+ location: Obtained as reward from hunting Great Baggi, Great Wroggi, Great Izuchi and Kulu-Ya-Ku in High Rank

Eroded Skeleton location: Bone Piles (we found it on the Sandy Plains primarily) Dragonhusk Shard location: Bone Piles (we found it on the Frozen Islands primarily) Twisted Remains location: Bone Piles (we found it on the Shrine Ruins primarily) Sturdy Bone location: Bone Piles (we found it on the Shrine Ruins and Lava Caverns primarily)

Jumbo Bone location: Obtained as reward for hunting Bishaten, Lagombi, Tetranadon, Arzuros and Volvidon in Low Rank Massive Bone: Obtained as reward for hunting Goss Harag (although the chance is fairly low) in both Low Rank and High Rank Pale Bone - Obtained as a reward for hunting Khezu (higher chance from capture and broken part drops)

Elder Dragon Bone location: Chance to obtain as reward for hunting Thunder Serpent Narwa (rank 7 hunt in the hub)
