Key art from marketing material show-off a Japanese theme, with artwork teasing the return of the classic map Castle (thanks, WhatIfGaming). Castle was originally a multiplayer map in Call of Duty World at War, set in an old Japanese fortress in World War 2. The map most recently made a return in Call of Duty Vanguard, but this would be the first time the map would appear in the franchise’s modern theme of shooters....
As explained in new blog post highlighting the latest developments for Call of Duty’s Ricochet anti-cheat solution, Cloaking follows a similar philosophy to its previous Damage Shield initiative in that it’s designed to “give legitimate players a leg up on cheaters.” While Damage Shield effectively turned on God Mode for all legitimate players when a cheater was detected in a match, Cloaking aims its focus squarely at the cheater, making it impossible for them to see opponents, bullets, and even sounds....

Beginning shortly after the Braindance tutorial, the puzzle allows V to scope out Yorinobu’s apartment to find a Relic ahead of an infiltration mission. There is a primary objective to complete the puzzle - finding the Relic - as well as a secondary, optional objective of scanning the apartment’s security systems. Though the track layers at the top of the screen provide some hints of where to find all these, you still need to be looking in the right place to complete these objectives - which is where this pages comes in....

While you could of course simply scale up 720p to fill a 4K screen, the results often aren’t flattering. Games at this resolution tend to look blurry and soft, with the scaling tech to preserve sharpness absent on many TVs. 1080p and above content fares better, so that’s what we’ll be targeting here - at a minimum, around double the pixels of the Steam Deck’s internal display. A true native 4K is going to elude us except in simple titles, but we should be able to push image quality quite a bit regardless....
