Xbox Series Fps Boost Five Xbox One Games Now Run At 2X Frame Rate

We’ve seen a doubling of performance on older games running on the new wave of consoles already, of course. We’ve looked at Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last Guardian and God of War on PlayStation 5, while legacy titles running with unlocked frame-rates can also tap in to the extra horsepower of Xbox Series consoles and PS5. The difference with FPS Boost is that Microsoft’s Xbox compatibility team is working its magic this time around to adjust frame-rate caps at the Direct3D level, increasing performance within the system, without any changes at all to the original code....

It S Time For Game Makers To Start Seeing The World In Two Colours

Some time in the distant past, our ancestors moved to the treetops and decided that fruit was quite delicious. Before that, we weren’t fussy. Afterwards, fruit was top of the menu. And so we evolved three-colour vision to distinguish unripe fruit from the very ripest. Or, that’s one theory. In truth, we don’t know for sure what caused our colour vision to change in the deep past. But for whatever reason, although most mammals see the world in two colours, most humans see the world in three....

Activision Blizzard Staff React To Microsoft Buyout News

The ABK Worker’s Alliance - a group of employees pushing for workplace reform - yesterday stated that news of the acquisition was “surprising” but did “not change the goals of the ABK Worker’s Alliance”. Since then, other Activision Blizzard employees have shared their views. Much of the criticism has focused on CEO Bobby Kotick’s comments on declining stock prices. In an interview with GamesBeat, he claimed the stock price decline was mainly due to delays to Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4, rather than the ongoing sexual harassment lawsuit....

Alan Wake Remastered Ditching Original S Product Placement

Alan Wake’s decidedly unsubtle attempts at paid product placement came in for some considerable criticism when it released back in 2010. The otherwise picturesque town of Bright Falls, which serves as the backdrop to Remedy’s adventure, was, for instance, littered with billboards for US phone service provider Verizon, and Wake’s supernaturally imbued flashlight seemed unusually fussy when it came to matters of evil-fighting, making exclusive use of Energizer batteries - meaning thousands of the brazenly branded buggers littered every nook, shelf, and unlikely hidey-hole throughout the game....

Animal Splicing Tycoon Game Let S Build A Zoo Is Getting Dinosaur Dlc

Let’s Build a Zoo, if you’re unfamiliar, takes the familiar framework of classic zoo tycoons as its starting point, tasking players with importing and breeding animals, managing staff, and fashioning an appealing park using scenery items, shops, and amenities in order to keep guests happy and the money rolling in. It offers two main twists on that familiar formula, however; there’s a morality system - giving players the choice between keeping everything above board or taking a more exploitative path - plus the aforementioned DNA splicing angle, enabling players to create and exhibit the likes of crocoducks, giraffephants, and chickow....
